Fishing

Cast from your own shoreline

Largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish fill the coves. The lake is stocked and surveyed — recent fish-survey reports live in the document library — and the bass club runs a friendly summer tournament series.

Boating

Pontoons, ski boats & paddlecraft

Lake Santee is a no-wake lake in the early morning and evening, with open skiing hours midday. All watercraft must be registered with the POA and display a current sticker. Full boating rules and the ramp map are a click away.

Stewardship

A lake that is cared for

Each winter the POA lowers the lake for shoreline and seawall work, and treats coontail and other aquatic weeds through the season so the water stays clean and swimmable. Annual water-quality reports are published for every member.
